This post speaks about rules 10 -14 that the Bailey teachings imply are helpful for the Probationer Disciple (that includes the Chela in the Light) to follow prior to taking what Bailey calls the First Initiation (or major expansion of consciousness, or enlightenment experience).
This post relates Bailey’s Chela in the Light stage to the the Light phase of the Technique of Integration and the Love/Love petal of Bailey’s Egoic Lotus. Then the post delves into a comparison between the Chela in the Light phase of Alice Bailey and what traditional Theosophy has to say about the 5th subplane of the Mental Plane. Finally we go into a comparison between the Chela in the Light stage and Integral’s Teal, Turquoise, and Indigo.
This post completes the discussion on the spiritual challenges those on the 5th subplane of the Mental Plane face. Here we see the Chela in the Light beginning the process of consciously cleaning up personal and group karma and at long last contacting the Soul as a fact. This Soul contact produces its own opportunities and difficulties, which are looked at briefly in this post and will be dealt with more extensively in another chapter.
This post continues looking at the spiritual challenges of those at the 5th subplane of the Mental Plane. This post discovers how the Chela in the Light discovers the “service group” that he or she is meant to be a part of, how group work at a soul level begins, how knowledge needs to change into wisdom, the importance of having something tangible to contribute to a group, and how hierarchy needs to looked at not as a way to dominate others, but as a way to become more inclusive.
This post is the next in a series taking a look at the spiritual challenges that those at the 5th subplane of the Mental Plane face. Here we discover the “problems of illumination” that take place when one enters into deeper types of meditation practice. Some of these problems include what happens when the Chela in the Light is intensifying the brain and mind with an increased measure of Soul light and how it can imbalance the life and inflate the mind causing one to life in a “thought bubble” or develop problems of mental pride.
This post continues to look at some of the spiritual challenges that those at the 5th subplane of the Mental Plane including how they are learning the necessity for right thought and speech, developing the capacity to see things metaphorically and to produce a synthesis of ideas, and some of the emerging problems that take place when there is too much emphasis on the mind and looking into the subtle worlds.
This post starts to detail some of the spiritual challenges that those at the 5th subplane of the Mental Plane go through including discerning between what is known as the “astral light” and the “light of the soul,” beginning the process of recognizing what Bailey calls “glamours,” the process of mastering emotional reactions more, and working with criticism.
This post begins to take a look at the 5th subplane of the Mental Plane that I have associated with what Bailey calls the Accepting Discipleship stage and her Chela in the Light stage of spiritual development. Here the mind is being trained to be increasingly receptive to the Light of the Soul leading to going through what Bailey calls the First Initiation and later in another post I show correlations with the Integral model.
This post speaks about rules 7 – 9 that the Bailey teachings imply are helpful for the the Probationer Disciple to follow prior to taking what Bailey calls the First Initiation (or major expansion of consciousness, or enlightenment experience).
